Description
A compact, simple way to switch between 3.5mm stereo audio connections.
SterlingSwitch is a passive audio switch with physical mechanical switches. No power, batteries, software, or complicated setup required. Just connect your devices and switch between connections.
Choose your configuration
1↔2: 1 Input / 2 Outputs or 2 Inputs / 1 Output
Use it either way around. Switch between two outputs from one audio source, or switch between two audio sources connected to one output.
Available in two layouts:
- Rear layout: All three 3.5mm jacks are located at the back.
- Front + rear layout: One 3.5mm jack is located at the front, with two at the back.
2↔2: 2 Inputs / 2 Outputs
Switch between two stereo inputs and two stereo outputs using two independent switches.
Both configurations also include a mute/off position.

Note:
In some audio setups, differences in the electrical ground between connected devices can cause occasional buzzing or humming. This is related to the connected equipment and power setup, not the passive switch itself.
If you experience buzzing or humming, try the following:
- Connect the devices to the same power outlet. If possible, connect the audio source, speakers, amplifier, or other powered equipment to the same outlet or power strip.
- Try a different power connection. USB-powered devices can sometimes introduce noise through their USB power connection. If this occurs, try powering the device from a separate USB power adapter.
- Use an audio ground-loop isolator. If the noise persists, an audio ground-loop isolator may help reduce or eliminate the noise.
